Reminder about the special meeting of the facilities committee tomorrow night. This is not a full board meeting. This would only be the facilities committee.
Does anyone know who the facilities committee members are? It's not well publicised.

The Morrisville School District's Facility Committee will hold a meeting on July 9, 2008 at 7:00 pm in Conference Room F-10 of the Middle/Senior High School, 550 W. Palmer St., Morrisville, PA. Marlys Mihok Secretary

I do not know who the facilities committee members are, but committee meetings are open to the public. Committee meetings are complex as far as Sunshine Laws are concerned. There should NOT be a quorum of board members present as the meeting was not advertised as a full board meeting. (That would have to be advertised as a special meeting of the board to discuss facilities.) Board members might try to excuse this by saying they are attending as members of the public, but this is really not acceptable.
Given that there's insufficient money for regular education, let alone special ed, what could a facilities committee possibly be doing?
They are trying to figure out how to fit all three schools into the MS/HS building. The PDE study conducted years ago even identifies this as an option, with a few build-ons and modulars. It will be interesting to see SHaron Hughes say she supports this when her main concern against the new school was that it would house older kids with younger kids.
Hypocrisy has no memory.
The committee members are Hellmann, Mihok, Heater, Reithmeyer. At least that's who showed up last night.
