O-1? Other?

Also, has anyone seen a listing to replace Melanie Gehrens? Or are we not replacing her either?

Well, here's progress. We are no longer sending resume's to Wm. Hellmann CPA at his office.

I'm confused. Is this two job listings, one for H.S. Principal and one for Dir. of Special Ed?

Idea for the Board. File under "I" for "It Ain't Like We Haven't Thought Of This Already".

Just say, "Hey, we posted this thing twice, set the experience bar as low as our regard for students and parents, and still didn't get any good candidates. Looks like we have no choice but to not fill the position. Oh, well."

I think this is just the listing for the director of special ed. I'm not sure that the principal position was advertised.

I'm betting that Bill Ferrara will be promoted and advised to do "more with less".

Are there any teachers in the district who hold principal's certification and could step in on an interim basis?

When is Kim Meyers last day? I hope the Morrisville School Board does not plan to run a special education department with out staff.

Anyone, anywhere with principal certification, current employee or not, would be well advised to avoid this position.

This spot will remain open until the most inexperienced and inexpensive principal interviews.

Kate Taylor said the budget was a setup for failure. I agree.

Can you imagine walking into this position with the funding cuts in place? Imagine having to pay for services for special education kids knowing that those funds will run out in February or so. Imagine coming to this board with hat in hand, "Please sir, may I have some more?"
And the board Nazi* says, "No Money For You!"

*A Seinfeld reference, not a real Nazi.

Just for Jon: I think this may be a re-post, but WTH?!?

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away;
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air.
You better watch out,
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen
Things are not what they seem.

What do you get for pretending the danger's not real.
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel.
What a surprise!
A look of terminal shock in your eyes.
Now things are really what they seem.
No, this is not a bad dream.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by.
With bright knives He releaseth my soul.
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places.
He converteth me to lamb cutlets,
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger.
When cometh the day we lowly ones,
Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of karate,
Lo, we shall rise up,
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.

Bleating and babbling we fell on his neck with a scream.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers
March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream.

Have you heard the news?
The dogs are dead!
You better stay home
And do as you're told.
Get out of the road if you want to grow old.

Shear genius, Floyd!

OK, so let's review...

Elementary principal retired
Elementary principal out on medical
M/HS principal quit
No Director Special Ed

Nice going so far.

Does anyone know if Dr. Yonson has signed the new 3-year contract, or is there a chance we might lose her too?
