Resignation Scuttlebutt

Two separate sources tell me that two current NSN school board members are contemplating resigning once the new majority is seated. Can anyone confirm anything along these lines?

At Wed.'s board mtg, Al Radosti & Brenda Worob both publicly denied they were resigning. And since they never lie or deny anything (even when there are witnesses), we must take them at face value. Gloria Heater wasn't formally asked, but as far as I know she's only 1 current NSN board member, so even if she is resigning, the rumors about 2 resignations must therefore be false.

However, my good friend Nostrildamnus predicts that Mr. Cinderblock "Kidney Handlebars" Wallkicker and Ms. Pervert "Land Grab" Fieldlearner are just itchin' to get those vacant seats.

Way back in (I think) 1995, when Marlys Myhock lost an election bid to be on the board, then-president JM, leader of a vocal Lower The Taxes (read NSN) board which had been decimated by a newly elected pro-parent (read PSP) board, tendered his resignation, tucked tail, and ran, rather than step up to the plate and serve out the remained of his term.

That, by the way, was how Steve Worob became appointed to the board.

It's not the first time that someone became elected to the board, and then neglected the responsibility given to them, nor will it be the last.

I await, with anticipation, the fullfilment of your predictions.

How the heck did a PSP board appoint Steve Worob? Was he the only applicant? I guess his true nature hadn't been revealed yet?

Also, I'm curious about who the board members were (in the 1990's) when teachers/aides were illegally fired/locked-out. I heard the resulting lawsuit cost the district ~$1.5 million. Anyone know anything about that?

Two candidates, an 8 member board was deadlocked 4-4. It went to county court. It was decided in Worob's favor. The other candidate, Dr. Shomo, was appointed shortly thereafter when another board member resigned.

Ask Marlys Myhock about that. See if she gives you a straight answer. ;^)

I guess, a la George Costanza, I could take the opposite of what Marlys says, and that would be pretty close to the truth.

I can't believe the county ruled in Worob's favor. I thought the conspiracy against him was rock-solid all the way up to the White House!

This was before the "watchdog" woke up. Nobody yet knew that he was about to bite.
